USA Libraries Catalog (SOUTHcat) provides an inventory of what we own. Includes e-books, videos, dvds, government documents and reference books and periodical titles and the volumes and issues of the periodicals we own.

Below are some suggested terms to use when searching the SOUTHcat Catalog or journal indexes. Search techniques may vary with each database so look at help screens for suggestions on quotation marks and truncations symbols.

Keywords--skip the "and" if you use Keyword (AND with Relevance) search. This search automatically puts "and" between words and phrases. Do use the "quotation marks" for phrases. "public history" "popular culture" and preservation "cultural resources" "local history" antiquities and preservation archives and public exhibit? and design records and "public interest" "oral history" memory and history "historic sites" and restoration archaelology and "social aspects" also use specific exhibit or museum names: "enola gay" and smithsonian

Periodicals Archive Online. An archive of backfiles of peridicals in the humanities and social aciences. Latest date available is 1995.

LexisNexis [General News>Magazines and Journals] Use for current articles.
