Welcome to JagAlert
JagAlert is an academic alert system designed to help USA students do well in their classes. It targets students at the freshman and sophomore levels.
During the fifth week of classes, faculty enter academic alerts in PAWs. In the sixth week, these alerts are released to students. Feedback includes course performance issues, as well as a “keep up the good work” option. Over 70% of faculty complete JagAlerts, so most students should have feedback in PAWs.
If students receive two or more alerts, JagSuccess will reach out and offer assistance. Those with four or more alerts will be contacted to make an appointment for academic coaching.
JagAlerts offer students an opportunity to consider their academic standing and make appropriate adjustments to improve performance for the rest of the semester. They also provide a point for conversation between students, faculty, and academic advisors. We encourage the university community to work together to promote student academic success; please let us know what we can do to help support this process.
If you have questions, please contact the Director of Student Academic Success and Retention (Dr. Nicole Carr) at 251-460-6475. Thank you for supporting Student Success at USA!
