Specifically, it is designed to: (a) promote efficiency and responsiveness by all units of the College; (b) manage a strong discipline-based set of programs; (c) increase our research capacity and productivity; and, (d) focus the impact of our outreach activities. The primary administrative functions of the College are shared by the Office of the Dean, Academic Departments, and the Program Faculty. The Dean’s Office is comprised of several offices, including those of the Associate Dean for Academic and Fiscal Affairs, the Associate Dean for Development and External Affairs, the Director of Graduate Studies and Research, and the Director of Assessment and Evaluation. The faculty are organized into three separate departments: Health, Physical Education, and Leisure Studies; Professional Studies; and, Leadership and Teacher Education. Each department sponsors several academic programs with which different faculty members are affiliated. |
