Assistant and Associate Professors
The Department is seeking applicants for three tenure-track positions at the rank of Assistant or Associate Professor. A Ph.D. and/or M.D. degree and postdoctoral research experience are required. Successful candidates will establish and maintain independent, extramurally-funded research programs and contribute to graduate and medical education. Areas of interest to the department include signal transduction in cells of the cardiovascular and respiratory systems, diabetes, cancer, epigenetic regulation of gene expression by chromatin remodeling and RNAi, redox signaling and free radical biochemistry. Outstanding candidates conducting state of-the-art research in other areas of biochemistry and molecular biology will also be considered. Opportunities for interdisciplinary interactions with other basic science departments, the Mitchell Cancer Institute and the Center for Lung Biology are available.
