Dr. K. Mark Weaver joined the Mitchell College of Business faculty in
the Fall of 2011 as the Ben May Chair of Entrepreneurship where he
will teach entrepreneurship courses. Dr. Weaver will also serve as the
founding director of the Carl and Jewel Melton Center for
Entrepreneurial Studies. Dr. Weaver is an internationally known
scholar and formerly served as the Thomas H. Daigre Endowed Chair at
Louisiana State University. Previously Dr. Weaver served as the Rohrer
Chair of Entrepreneurial Studies at Rowan University and as a
Professor of Management at the University of Alabama.
Dr. Weaver currently serves as the President of the U.S. Association
for Small Business and Entrepreneurship and has served as the
Proceedings Editor and AACSB liaison for the Academy of Management.
Dr. Weaver received his BS degree in Industrial Management and a PhD
in Management from Louisiana State University.
