Adult-Gerontological Acute Care Nurse Practitioner
BSN-DNP and Post Master's DNP
with Cardiovascular Subspecialty
The Department of Health and Human Services has funded a $991,000 proposal for a post-baccalaureate Adult Acute Care Nurse Practitioner Doctorate of Nursing Practice program with Cardiovascular Specialization.
Graduates of this program will earn a DNP degree and be eligible to sit for the ACNP exam.
The American Association of Colleges of Nursing has set a 2015 date for full implementation of the DNP as the entry level for advanced practice.
