The University of South Alabama Department of Sociology, Anthropology and Social Work invites applicants for a tenure-track assistant professor position in sociology. We seek applicants to teach courses in the sociology of aging and the life course and/or social gerontology. In addition, the ability to teach courses in minority families or minority health is desirable. Applicants with quantitative methods skills and the ability to generate external funding for their research are encouraged to apply. Required qualifications include a Ph.D. in sociology by August 15, 2013 with expertise in social gerontology.
