M.F.A., California State University, Chico

Megan Moore grew up in Northern California. Her childhood home faces miles of almond orchards and the Sacramento River, heavily influencing her interest in nature. This interest would later become the focus of her art practice. She attended the University of California, Santa Barbara and majoring in Art Studio, with emphasis in photography, and in Communication.  She received a Master’s in Fine Art in printmaking at California State University, Chico.  Professor Moore began teaching for USA as the printmaking and foundations coordinator. She currently teaches art appreciation from New York City. Her work is an investigation of the effect of restructuring a collection that occurs through the process of collage. Each print or collage piece features nature-based imagery that through a process of sampling, deconstruction and reconstruction, comes together to form something new.
