Andrea Blair is a Mobile, AL native with almost 10 years of chemical and process engineering
experience in the pulp and paper, electricity generation, automotive, and chemical manufacturing
industries. Andrea received a Bachelor of Science in Chemical Engineering from Auburn University
in 2005 and a Master of Business Administration (MBA) from Georgia Southern University in
2009. She is Green Belt certified in Six Sigma and has extensive statistical analysis, leadership,
project design, and troubleshooting experience. Andrea currently works for a global chemical
manufacturing company as the operations/engineering manager.
Ryan earned his undergraduate degree with a major in e-commerce from the University of South
Alabama in 2004 and MBA from Troy University in 2009. His personal interests of study
include mobile commerce, machine-to-machine wireless technology, and e-learning.
Ryan has 12 years’ experience in the wireless industry and is currently the National Sales
Manager for Alcatel One Touch, the fastest growing mobile device OEM in the World by units
sold. At Alcatel, Ryan is primarily responsible for product sell-through within T-Mobile and
Metro PCS. Prior to Alcatel, Ryan spent 10 years with T-Mobile where he was acknowledged
for his performance in retail, retail partner, and national retail sales roles and was a three time
annual recipient of T-Mobile’s Winner's Circle award. He was also recognized by his peers in
2007 with the Peak award in Hawaii for his metric accomplishments and living the company
Scott R. Cohen is an instructor for Wake Technical Community College in Raleigh, North Carolina teaching both business and accounting courses. In addition he has also worked as adjunct faculty for North Carolina State and Campbell Universities. He is a Certified Public Accountant (CPA, North Carolina and Colorado), and a Chartered Global Management Accountant (CGMA, from the AICPA).
Mr. Cohen has earned two Bachelor of Science degrees from North Carolina Wesleyan College (business and accounting) as well as an M.B.A. degree from Elon University and a MAcc (Master of Accounting) from the University of Connecticut. While at the University of Connecticut, he was nominated for and accepted into Beta Gamma Sigma business honor society.
Prior to his work in education, Mr. Cohen was a serial entrepreneur, owning a number of businesses in the service, accounting and finance industries. Additionally, he was a partner in Hanson & Cohen CPA, PLLC., an accounting and consulting business located in Cary, North Carolina.
Jaco Keyser is the Head Women’s Tennis Coach for the University of South Alabama. He was born in
Pretoria, South Africa where he played high school tennis before coming to the University of South
Alabama on a tennis scholarship. Mr. Keyser holds a BSBA degree in Finance and an MBA from the
University of South Alabama. He has been the head coach of the women’s tennis team since 2002.
Steven R. Townson
Steven R. Townson earned his Masters of Arts in Management from Webster University and is an
alumnus of the Harvard Business School OPM Program. His undergraduate degree is a BS in Psychology
from the University of Tennessee at Chattanooga. Prior to entering the DBA program at South Alabama,
he spent over 20 years in the banking industry gaining experience first as a credit analyst, correspondent
banker and mergers & acquisitions specialist, then as a President and CEO.
For 25 years, Alan has worked in the healthcare industry. The vast majority of his career has been spent with Infirmary Health System (IHS) in Mobile, Alabama. Prior to joining IHS, Alan worked with the Baptist Health System in Birmingham, Alabama. His work experience includes operational management as well as strategic planning and business development.
Alan served as Executive Vice President/Administrator of the 704 bed Mobile Infirmary Medical Center, one of the largest hospitals in Alabama with 2,500 employees and a medical staff of over 600 physicians. From 2009 through 2012, Alan held the position of Executive Vice President / Chief Strategy Officer for the system. He now provides operational and sales consulting services to healthcare entities in Alabama, Florida, and Mississippi.
