The Mitchell College of Business’s real estate program will host the Gulf Coast Real Estate Spring Forum: True Grit to Growth on Tuesday, March 24. This event will convene national and local industry leaders together for a conversation on the Gulf Coast Region’s economic transition and it’s impact on local real estate and development.

The 2026 agenda is structured to address the critical infrastructure and market trends currently reshaping the Gulf Coast. Key sessions will include:

  • Regional Economic & Real Estate Analysis: A forward-looking assessment of market stability and growth projections for the 2026 fiscal year.
  • Infrastructure & Logistics Milestones: An in-depth look at the impact of the Port of Mobile’s deep-water container expansion and the progress of the new Mobile International Airport terminal.
  • The I-65 "String of Pearls" Initiative: A strategic overview of the industrial corridor linking Alabama’s manufacturing hubs and its role in long-term regional connectivity.

Transitioning from Forecast to Execution: Executive perspectives on moving beyond speculative planning to the realization of major commercial and industrial projects.

The forum serves as a primary venue for stakeholders to gain data-driven insights and engage in high-level networking aimed at driving the next phase of Gulf Coast development.

Early registration is available through February 28 at a rate of $85. For a complete list of speakers, sponsorship opportunities, continuing education credit and to register, please visit the University of South Alabama Real Estate Forum website at www.southalabama.edu/realestateforum
