The University of South Alabama and its Police Department has partnered with MyForce to provide a proactive personal safety service that will immediately protect students, their families, alumni, USA faculty and staff with just a touch of a button on supported IPhone, Android or BlackBerry smartphones.
USA, the first university in Alabama to partner with MyForce, has integrated the MyForce Campus System into its existing campus safety programs, giving the USA Police direct and immediate access to incident information for any MyForce alert triggered on campus.
“The University of South Alabama Police Department is committed to providing a safe and harmonious environment so that our campus can thrive,” said USA Police Chief Zeke Aull. “To make sure that this occurs, the USA Police Department is constantly seeking new and innovative ways that will improve upon or complement our current crime prevention strategies.”
All users can try the MyForce service free for 30 days. After the free trial service has ended, parents, students, alumni, faculty and staff associated with USA can sign up for the $11.99 per month membership or $99 per year MyForce service. This is a negotiated reduced rate given to the USA community. USA family and friends can use the promo code Jaguars to receive the special pricing.
