Locating Journal Articles
Use the indexes below to identify articles on specific topics as well as locate full-text electronic articles, essays, and chapters in books. The following databases can be found under Articles, Indexes, and Databases unless otherwise indicated. The most current print journals are shelved alphabetically by title on the Second Floor South of the library. Older issues are kept either in microform on the Second Floor South and shelved by title, or several issues are bound together and shelved by call number on the Third Floor South.
- PsycINFO (EBSCO)
- Published by the APA. Citations and some links to full-text journals, chapters, and books in psychology and closely related fields.
- PsycARTICLES (EBSCO)
- Full-text, peer-reviewed scholarly and scientific articles from 71 journals published by the American Psychological Association (APA) and allied organizations. It includes all journal articles, letters to the editor, and errata from each journal. Coverage spans volume 1, issue 1 to the present for most of the titles. The database contains some journals which are no longer published.

- Full-text journal articles for most titles indexed. Includes older issues for the Psychology Collection.
- CINAHL Plus with Full Text
- Comprehensive index for Nursing & Allied Health Literature.
- ERIC (EBSCO)
- Index for education and related fields. Includes documents and journal articles.
- LexisNexis Academic
- Includes newspapers, some journals, statutes, and case law.

- A collection of full-text journals in pdf format usually more than 3-5 years old. Includes psychology and related fields.

Our Journal List
This is the database of all the journals we subscribe to in print and electronically. Once you have a citation to an article, go to Our Journal List to see if the Libraries have a subscription to the particular volume, issue, and year of the journal you need. Call us at 460-7025 if you have any question about the availablity of these journals. (Note: Some magazine and journal publishers "embargo" the latest six months or year of electronic versions. This means that the most recent issues will not be available online for six months or a year from their publication date.)
