USA anthropology major Brittney Highland has been accepted into the 2016-17 Middle Stone Age NSF-REU (National Science Foundation - Research Experiences for Undergraduates). Brittney will spend the winter in Ethiopia conducting field work, and the following summer in the United States or Ethiopia completing an independent research project in paleoanthropology.

Brittney's faculty advisor, Dr. Lesley Gregoricka, Assistant Professor of Anthropology, said that "Only five students a year are selected from across the United States for this prestigious program, so it is an immense honor and a testament to Brittney's hard work."
