Minor in Leisure Studies (21 Hours)

The Leisure Studies minor is open to students majoring in any discipline other than Leisure Studies. The minor in Leisure Studies serves as an ideal minor for business and communication majors and interdisciplinary studies majors as one of the of the three disciplines required for study. Students pursuing the Leisure Studies minor will be exposed to courses in a variety of recreational and sport settings including community sport programs, professional and college sports, outdoor recreation, and therapeutic recreation. Course requirements include LS 191 and LS 391 and the remaining hours from the following: LS 276, LS 292, LS 295, LS 297, LS 300, LS 375, LS 384, LS 394, LS 395, LS 397, LS 468, LS 479, LS 486, LS 490 PE 278, and PE 478.
