Quality Matters is a nationally-recognized program to improve the quality of online and blended courses.  

The ILC offers two options for you to certify the quality of your course - Official QM certification and University-Level Quality Review.

The “official” Quality Matters review process and requires departmental approval and financial commitment.

  • Requires 3 reviewers (including a subject matter expert and someone external to USA)
  • Requires that faculty responsible for course has been trained at applying the QM Rubric
  • Results in recognition on the QM website and designation as an officially recognized QM course on your course home page

  • Requires 1 reviewer
  • Requires that faculty responsible for course has been trained at applying the QM Rubric
  • Includes recognition by the Senior Vice President of Academic Affairs and designation as a high quality course on the course home page
