Family Nurse Practitioner - BSN to DNP and

Graduates of this program will earn a DNP degree and be eligible to sit or the FNP exam.

The American Association of Colleges of Nursing has set a 2015
date for full implementation of the DNP as the entry level for
advanced practice.

 

Requirements for Admission

The requirements for admission to the DNP program are located on the DNP Home Page and in the University of South Alabama Undergraduate/Graduate Bulletin.

While FNP/DNP classes are taught online, all students enrolled in CMN 569 (first FNP clinical course) in the fall of 2012, are required to attend a mandatory three (3) day orientation. The orientation will be held November 7-9, 2012. Attendance is required and will allow for questions and interaction with course faculty. Various clinical skills workshops will be held during the orientation.
