Dr. Debra Davis, Dean of the College of Nursing, has announced the state’s first Doctor of Nursing Practice degree program at the University of South Alabama  

  The College of Nursing is happy to announce the initiation of a DNP Nurse Educator option. The program is designed for Advance Practice Nurses who wish to earn the DNP and gain Nurse Educator preparation simultaneously.  

 The College of Nursing has an exciting opportunity for Adult Acute Care Nurse Practitioner students! The Department of Health and Human Services has funded a $1.1 million proposal submitted by Dr. Julie Sanford for a post-baccalaureate Adult Acute Care Nurse Practitioner Doctorate of Nursing Practice program 

  Newly funded DNP for Culturally Competent Psychiatric Nursing track will admit at least 12 post-MSN students each year  

 A new $45 million Health Sciences Building, now under construction, will bring the colleges of Nursing and Allied Health back to USA's main campus. Scheduled date of completion is Spring 2009
