Wanderer Above the Mist

Assistant Professor, Department of Philosophy

University of South Alabama

I am an Assistant Professor of

Philosophy at the University of South Alabama. I received my Ph.D. from the Philosophy Department at

Purdue University in August of 2008.

My primary field of study is Early Modern Philosophy, particularly the metaphysics and philosophical theology of G.W. Leibniz. I also take an active interest in other figures of the Early Modern era—such as Nicolas Malebranche—as  well as persons in the Medieval and Scholastic periods—such as St. Thomas Aquinas & Francisco Suarez.

When not finagling about with historical persons, I tend most often to devote attention to certain problems within contemporary metaphysics and the philosophy of religion.
