Curriculum Vitae

Research Interests

My research mission is to evaluate a psychobiological model of human experience. Research areas that I am interested in that help me carry out this mission are: (a) studying the evaluation and treatment of pain and stress, (b) studying a variety of self-regulation techniques such as biofeedback and use of music and mental imagery, (c) spirituality and personality as predictors of health outcome, and (d) evaluating mindfulness based interventions for psychological and health related problems. I also study sports performance, and in conjunction with Dr. Cay Welsh, I am coeditor of The Journal of Sport Behavior.
