Thorsten Meffert is Graduate Assistant at the MCOB Center for Real Estate Studies and a student of the new MBA program since August 2006.
He received a degree and the title Diplom-Betriebswirt in European Business Management from the University of Applied Sciences in Worms, Germany. His undergraduate majors covered international marketing, business and accounting. As a part of his undergraduate studies he spent one year as an exchange student at the University of South Alabama. Encouraged from the gained experience he decided to pursue his MBA at the Mitchell College of Business in 2006.
Thorsten already gained profound work experience while he worked for five years as an operational manager with the shipping agency G.L. Kayser GmbH & Co. KG in Mainz (Germany) in the division Overseas Shipments. Afterwards, he broadened his knowledge as an intern and later part-time employee at the international logistic service provider Schenker Deutschland AG in Frankfurt (Germany) where he also wrote his undergraduate degree thesis about Marketing and Sales Concepts of Logistic Services.
