Neonatal Nurse Practitioner
BSN-DNP and Post Master's DNP
The Department of Health and Human Services has funded a nearly
$900,000 proposal to provide a new BSN to DNP Neonatal Nurse
Practitioner (NNP) program or BSN to DNP Acute Care Pediatric
Nurse Practitioner Program (ACPNP).
Graduates of the NNP program will earn a DNP degree and be eligible
to sit for the National Certification Corporation NNP exam.
The American Association of Colleges of Nursing has set a 2015
date for full implementation of the DNP as the entry level for
advanced practice.
The Fall 2012 MCN NP Track Orientation will be hosted on our campus, Monday-Wednesday, September 10-12, 2012.
This project is supported in part by funds from the Division of Nursing (DN), Bureau of Health Professions (BHPr), Health Resources and Services Administration (HRSA), Department of Health and Human Services (DHHS) under grant number D09HP14826-01-00 for Online DNP for Neonatal Nurse Practitioner/Acute Care Pediatrics Nurse Practitioner Program for $861,312.00.
