"Famous Piano Quintets" with the Ars Nova String Quartet and USA Piano Professor Robert Holm.  
 
The Nashville-based String Quartet Ars Nova, comprised of sibling violinists Benjamin Hart and Caroline Maichel, violist Christopher Lowry and cellist Emily Nelson, will perform for the first time at USA Laidlaw Performing Arts Center on Saturday, September 6 at 7:30 p.m. The guest artist ensemble will be joined by pianist Robert Holm performing the Piano Quintet in E-flat, op. 44 by Robert Schumann and the Piano Quintet in F minor by Cesar Franck.
 
The Ars Nova String Quartet was formed in 2008 and they have performed throughout the U.S. including Moscow, Idaho, the Aspen Music Festival in Colorado and in Europe (Aix-en-Provence, France and in Vienna, Austria).
 
Tickets for this Musical Arts Series event will be sold at the door only.  Admission is $8 general and $5 for USA faculty & staff, USA students, youths under 18 and all senior citizens (cash or check only).  Persons needing more information about this event or in need of special accommodation may call (251) 460-7116 or (251) 460-6136.
