USA Music Alumnus Nicholas Brownlee to Perform with the LA Philharmonic

The University of South Alabama Department of Music is pleased to report that USA alumnus Nicholas Brownlee will be performing with the Los Angeles Philharmonic October 9-12, 2014 as the bass soloist in Beethoven’s Choral Fantasy. Brownlee (a bass-baritone) studied with Dr. Thomas Rowell, and received his vocal performance degree in 2012. He recently received his Master of Music degree from Rice University. He was accepted into the Santa Fe Opera’s Apprentice Program for the summer of 2014, and is now a part of the elite Los Angeles Opera Young Artist Program for the 2014-2015 season.
