Duo tierra fría, Guest Artist Percussion Duo in Concert January 22 at Laidlaw

The USA Percussion Studio is pleased to host Duo tierra fría in concert on Friday,
January 22 at the Laidlaw Performing Arts Center. Duo tierra fría was formed by Brant
Blackard and Connor Stevens while both were students at the Eastman School of Music,
focusing on performing contemporary music within the percussion duo repertoire as
well as presenting their own arrangements of classic repertoire. Tierra Fria has performed
at the Eastman School of Music, the George Eastman House in Rochester, NY, the 2015
Great Plains International Marimba Competition, and the 2015 Valencia International
Performance Academy & Festival in Spain. The duo has also performed as part of the
Eastman BroadBand Ensemble at the soundSCAPE Festival in Maccagno, Italy.
Tickets for this Department of Music event will be sold at the door only. Admission
is $8 general and $5 for USA faculty & staff, USA students, youths under 18 and all
senior citizens (cash or check only). Persons needing more information about this

amount of seats needed AND be sure you are planning on being in place at least 20
minutes in advance of the concert! (Pass Holders only please! Held seats not claimed
within 20 minutes of the performance may be offered to other concert attendees.)
