Steve Reich at 80: Chamber Music Concert at Laidlaw October 12

The USA Department of Music is proud to present their final installation of the "Steve
Reich at 80" concert series celebrating the composer's 80th birthday, on Wednesday,
October 12 at 7:30 p.m. Taking place in the Laidlaw Performing Arts Center just nine
days after his actual birthdate, faculty and students of the Department of Music will
perform four of Mr. Reich's chamber music works: Vermont Counterpoint featuring Dr.
Andra Bohnet, New York Counterpoint featuring Dr. Kip Franklin, Dance Patterns for
piano/percussion sextet, and Eight Lines arranged for percussion ensemble by Dr. Luis
Rivera. Come join us as we celebrate one last time one of America's greatest living
Tickets for this Department of Music event will be sold at the door only. Admission is $8 general and $5 for USA faculty & staff, USA students, youths under 18 and all senior citizens (cash or check only).
