Monday, February 9, 2026 -- 7:30 p.m.
Laidlaw Recital Hall

The University of South Alabama is proud to co-host this Guest Lecture Recital entitled "Roses of Cuba: Martí and Lecuona on Two Eras of the 'Rosa Blanca.'" The event explores Cuban composer Eduardo Lecuona (1895-1963) and his song settings of Cuban poet, journalist, and national hero José Martí (1853-1895). the guest faculty come from the University of Alabama and include associate professor of voice Susan Williams, associate professor of Spanish Sarah Moody, and associate professor of piano Kevin Chance.

This guest lecture recital will take place in the USA Laidlaw Performing Arts Center on Monday, February 9 at 7:30 p.m. Admission to this USA guest event is free and open to the public, but will be limited to the first 240 attendees.  (Doors will open at approximately 7:00 p.m.) Persons needing more information about this event or in need of special accommodation may call 251-460-7116 or 251-460-6136.
