OIE Welcomes the 2026 - 2027 LevelUP Fellows
The Office of Institutional Effectiveness is pleased to announce the 2026–2027 cohort of LevelUP Fellows. Representing academic disciplines and student support areas across the University, this year’s 10 Fellows will collaborate throughout the academic year to develop and implement projects that strengthen student learning, career readiness, and preparation for what comes next.
The 2026–2027 LevelUP Fellows are:

Throughout the academic year, LevelUP Fellows will participate in monthly cohort meetings, individual consultations, professional development, and a Fellows Forum designed to build shared knowledge and foster collaboration across the University. Fellows will also contribute to the development and assessment of LevelUP resources for faculty, staff, and students and explore opportunities to strengthen LevelUP practices within their own areas.
A central component of the Fellowship is the development of an implementation innovation or research project that advances the LevelUP Quality Enhancement Plan (QEP) at South. Projects may focus on areas such as innovative teaching practices, program assessment, student engagement, or LevelUP-related research. LevelUP Fellows will apply what they learn through the program to address opportunities within their disciplines, programs, or units and will share the results of their work at the South Alabama Conference on Teaching and Learning (CoTL).

Through these experiences, Fellows serve not only as participants but also as LevelUP ambassadors across campus, modeling LevelUP principles and practices, sharing ideas and resources with colleagues, and helping identify innovative and sustainable ways to prepare South Alabama students for what comes next.
