Celebrating Year 2 Successes of the LevelUP QEP: AY 2024–2025
The Office of Institutional Effectiveness is pleased to share key accomplishments from the second year of its LevelUP: Uniquely Prepared for What Comes Next Quality Enhancement Plan (QEP), continuing momentum in supporting students as they prepare for their next steps.
LevelUP expanded to include 11 new academic programs and one new academic and student support unit in the 2024-2025 academic year. Students completed 2,804 Ready, Set, and Go reflection activities in AY 2024–25, with 2,488 earning scores of 2 or higher. Among students who completed the LevelUP activity, 89% achieved the Ready milestone, 92% reached Set, and 89% achieved Go, demonstrating strong engagement and progression in career-readiness competencies. Additionally, student ePortfolio uploads climbed dramatically, from a baseline of 374 to a total of 11,912 by Spring 2025, reflecting increasing student commitment to documenting learning and readiness artifacts.
LevelUP hosted nine professional development opportunities, engaging 129 unique faculty and staff in 148 encounters. Ten LevelUP Fellows (eight faculty and three staff) supported implementation efforts across units. Students participated in 290 professional development experiences, and LevelUP toolkits were downloaded 205 times. The initiative also funded seven program accelerators with $40,033 to support creative, career-readiness efforts.
This second year of LevelUP underscores continued growth in student engagement, faculty and staff involvement, and evidence of meaningful outcomes that prepare South Alabama students for their next steps.
