About Us

USA Career Services is a dedicated career development team. We are a place where the South Alabama Jaguar community can seek career-related information, consultation, and assistance. Our team takes pride in the ability to help students and alumni identify personal goals, develop leadership skills, and plan their next career move. We are dedicated to helping our Jags throughout their academic careers to effectively transition from college to career.

We work together to support our campus by facilitating and designing engaging student experiences, growing our faculty and staff connections to build integrated opportunities into classrooms, and promoting our employer partners, including available employment and experiential learning opportunities. We are available for individual appointments, host career-related events, provide seminars, workshops, and digital resources, in addition to managing our dynamic career management platform, Handshake. Our process for student services includes personalized advising and connecting with wraparound support resources.

What You Can Do

In addition to sharing your own insights, please refer students to Career Services should they inquire with you about general career or industry-specific questions. We are able to assist students in:

  • Clarifying career and academic interests utilizing career assessments
  • Planning effective job and internship search strategies
  • Developing basic or targeted resumes, cover letters, and reviewing personal statements
  • Applying to graduate or professional school
  • Preparing for employment interviews
