The University of South Alabama continues to earn recognition for its commitment to our nation’s military members and their families. South ranked second as a Military Friendly School and first as a Military Spouse Friendly School among the 139 Tier 2 research institutions.
South has received the Military Friendly Schools award for creating meaningful education paths for the military community.
“I attribute these rankings to the continued support of our University partners as we work together to ensure the success of our military affiliated students,” said David Blair, director of USA’s Office of Military Services. “It’s a testament to the hard work and dedication of the USA staff, faculty and administration as we strive to become the most military friendly university in the nation.”
A year ago, South was rated as a gold level Military Friendly School, a notch below the Top 10. Military Friendly Schools may also receive silver and bronze rankings.
Military Friendly ratings are based on public and proprietary data from the annual Military Friendly survey. Survey topics are developed with input from an independent advisory council of experts in veteran education.
