Marine Sciences Students Earn Top Awards

Two University of South Alabama graduate assistants in marine sciences topped the oral presentations for students during the recent 2018 Alabama Water Resources Conference.

Haley Gancel, a graduate assistant working on her doctorate, took first place while Jeffrey Coogan, a graduate assistant who is also working on his doctorate, took second place.

The Alabama Water Resources Conference is the premiere water conference in the state. It was established in 1986, and has provided a forum for showcasing emerging research, education and outreach in all aspects of water resources.
