The South Alabama Center for Business Analytics, Real Estate and Economic Development (SABRE) is hosting its 2nd Annual Analytics Summit at the MacQueen Alumni Center on the University of South Alabama campus, November 17, 2022, from 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.

The summit brings together industry, academia, non-profits, local governments, and emerging talent from the Central Gulf Coast. The objectives of the summit are to learn about the latest trends and best practices in business analytics in various industries; network with regional data-minded industry and academia experts; and enhance personal and organizational data analytics skills and capabilities.

“If your company has a cash register, project management app, website or social media page, you generate data whether you are aware of it or not,” said Jana Stupavsky, SABRE’s assistant director. “When properly processed and analyzed that data can help detect problems or reveal patterns, allowing business owners to make educated decisions about adjustments to improve performance.”

The Summit will feature speakers from Amazon, Aker Solutions and APM Terminals Mobile. They will address how they use people, operations and supply chain analytics to drive decision-making. Additionally, communication experts will explain how data professionals can improve their communication strategies. There will also be a Q&A session with Brian Mooneyham, an expert in data science and analytics, where attendees can bring any data-related questions for him to answer.

Attendees must register for the Summit and can do so here. For more information contact Jana Stupavsky at (251) 460-6702 jstupavsky@southalabama.edu.
