Landry Underwood from Choctaw, Okla., has dreamed of working in student affairs at a university, and now she has joined the University of South Alabama’s Office of Student Affairs as coordinator of Greek Life.
Underwood graduated from the University of Arkansas, where she received her bachelor of arts degree in English, and earned her master’s degree in college student development from Oklahoma State University.
"I am excited about my new position at USA,” Underwood said. “While attending the University of Arkansas, I joined Alpha Omicron Pi, an international women’s fraternity. It was the first time I realized that I wanted to work with students who are members of fraternities and sororities.”
Underwood enjoys reading, watching movies, and the great outdoors. And, she is passionate about working with students.
“We are pleased to welcome Landry to the University of South Alabama,” said Brigette Soderlind, assistant director of student activities. “She comes to USA after serving as a graduate assistant in the Office of Fraternity and Sorority Affairs at Oklahoma State University.”
The USA Office of Greek Life supports students who are members of fraternities and sororities and provides them with the opportunity to develop valuable leadership skills, pursue academic excellence, and serve the USA and Mobile communities. Overall, these students make lasting friendships and memories that will be treasured over a lifetime.
