Learning Launchpad offers on-demand faculty development

The Whiddon College of Medicine’s new Learning Launchpad provides faculty with on-demand
access to recorded professional development sessions, including opportunities to earn
Continuing Medical Education (CME) credit.
The online learning center is designed to supplement live faculty development programming and give faculty the opportunity to access sessions they may have missed or revisit previously presented material.
Topics will include grant writing, coaching skills, educational research, teaching techniques and artificial intelligence in medical education.
Current offerings include:
- Making Accessible Educational Resources (1.0 CME credit): A virtual session covering WCAG tools and techniques for creating accessible Word, PowerPoint, PDF and Canvas content. Learn more
- Strategies to Prevent Mistreatment (1.0 CME credit): An interactive session addressing how to define, recognize and report medical student mistreatment through case scenarios. Learn more
Additional recorded and newly developed sessions will be added to the Learning Launchpad as they become available.
Faculty can visit the Learning Launchpad to view current offerings and access available CME courses.
