Engineering Faculty Recognized by USA National Alumni Association

Dr. Shenghua Wu, professor of civil, coastal and environmental engineering, and Dr. Bhushan Lohar, assistant professor of systems engineering, were recognized at a recent USA National Alumni Association Meeting. Wu was presented with the Olivia Rambo McGlothren Outstanding Scholar Award, and Lohar received the Faculty Innovation Award.
Each year, the South Alabama National Alumni Association presents its Alumni Recognition Awards. Other awardees were:
- James "Jay" Hunt '05, '09, '16, senior instructor of management in the Mitchell College of Business, received the Andy and Carol Denny Excellence in Teaching Award.
- Lauren M. Williams, academic advisor in the Honors College, received the Beth and Don Davis Excellence in Advising Award.
- Joshua L. Jones '11, director of the Violence Intervention Program based at USA Health University Hospital, received the Lisa Bethea Kavanaugh Outstanding Young Alumni Award.
