Study Abroad Students Receive PKP Grant

Study abroad students, Maura Hawkins and Omar Qader, receive the PKP Study Abroad
grant.
South students Maura Hawkins of Orange Beach, Alabama, and Omar Qader of Pensacola, Florida, are the recipients of the 2025 Phi Kappa Phi Study Abroad Grant. They both will receive $1,000 to be applied toward their travel abroad experience. Hawkins, a junior majoring in psychology, has previously studied abroad in India in 2024. Omar, a sophomore biomedical sciences major, will be studying abroad for the first time. Both students will be traveling to Nairobi, Kenya with Dr. Nancy Rice.
