What is Communication?  

"Communication is clearly and effectively exchange information, ideas, facts, and perspectives with persons inside and outside of an organization." (National Association of Colleges and Employers, n.d.).

Examples of Strong Communication Behaviors for Students:

  • Practice using clear verbal, written, and non-verbal communication in class discussions, emails, and presentations.
  • Listen carefully to others, ask thoughtful questions, and work on influencing or persuading respectfully when needed.
  • Organize your thoughts before speaking or writing to make sure your message is easy for others to understand.
  • Consider different learning and communication styles, and be mindful of cultural backgrounds when you communicate with others.
  • Ask specific, focused questions when you need information or help from professors, advisors, or supervisors.
  • Let your instructor, supervisor, or team know as soon as possible if you need clarification or support to complete a task.

  1. Right-Click on the Image – Place your mouse cursor over the image and right-click it.
  2. Select "Save Image As..." – In the menu that appears, click on "Save image as..." (wording may vary slightly depending on your browser).
  3. Choose a Save Location – A dialog box will open. Pick the folder where you want to save the image.
  4. Rename the File (Optional) – You can change the file name if you’d like.
  5. Click "Save" – Hit the Save button to download the image to your computer.
