The University of South Alabama Office of Academic Enhancement is excited to announce the 2025-2026 LevelUP Program Accelerator funding competition.

LevelUP Your Course: Enhancing Curriculum-Based Career Readiness mini-course leads faculty to design career-focused activities that are discipline-specific and aligned with selected competencies and employer-valued skills.

The Office of Academic Enhancement is proud to spotlight the innovative work of Jessica Franks, JD, Director of Graduate Programs in the Mitchell College of Business. With funding from the LevelUP Program Accelerator, Franks launched the Green Career Pathways Initiative: Preparing Students for Sustainable Careers, a forward-thinking project designed to connect students with sustainability-focused professional pathways. As part of this initiative, the Mitchell College of Business hosted the "Business for a Better Planet - Green Careers Networking Event" on April 22, 2025, in celebration of Earth Day.

The Office of Academic Enhancement, in collaboration with the Office of Community Engagement and the Office of Career Development, is excited to announce new opportunities for students to enhance their career readiness through targeted volunteer experiences.

Faculty members from the University of South Alabama led an insightful presentation on workforce development and career readiness at the Southern Association of Colleges and Schools Commission on Colleges (SACSCOC) Annual Meeting, held December 7-10, 2024, in Austin, Texas.

At the recent 2024 Assessment Institute in Indianapolis, Indiana, Julie M. Estis, Ph.D., executive director of academic enhancement and associate professor of speech-language pathology, and David S. Williams, Ph.D., MPA, assistant dean for institutional and academic success in the Office of Academic Planning, led a workshop titled "LevelUP Student Learning and Success with ePortfolios: Making the Most of What You Have."
