ACTIVITIES

Ready:
  • Embed evidence-based values affirmation activity in the first year
  • Introduce portfolio tool to first-year students

Set:  Utilize "reflect and project" learning experience near the program mid-point
Go: Connect learning experiences and activities to readiness in the final year 

 

Faculty & Staff Development:
  • Recruit and train LevelUP Fellows
  • Develop faculty & staff training programs
  • Implement faculty & staff training programs

 

 Readiness Toolkit
  • Develop tools, strategies, and interventions for faculty/staff use
  • Create menu of portfolio assignment prompts linked to readiness competencies
  • Develop mini-modules to support student readiness

 

Program Level
  • Create and implement 
     professional development for program coordinators and department heads on aligning planning and assessment with QEP aims.

OUTCOMES

Students will explain the importance of their self-identified personal values.

Students will evaluate their level of competence to engage in three readiness behaviors.

Students will articulate how their program and experiences relate to their readiness for their next steps.

 

Faculty and staff will adopt tools and strategies from the LevelUP toolkit in Canvas to support students in connecting learning and development experiences to readiness behaviors.

 

Academic programs and student support services will identify and assess at least one intended outcome related to the QEP. 

Impact: Students graduate from South Alabama confidently and uniquely prepared to take their next step.
