The University of South Alabama is altering institutional culture by transforming the ways in which USA supports student success and fosters our educational priorities. Improving student outcomes requires more than a “winning initiative” or investment in a new unit: it requires a focus on student success emphasizing persistence, degree progression, and completion. Our plan is a student-centered approach featuring strategic changes across four important areas: institutional structure, practice, policy, and initiatives. We have better addressed the needs of our student body, utilizing institutional data and analytics to guide us.
