How to Participate in Common Read/Common World

Incorporate the text into a class you teach
Include it as a required text or discuss the themes and topics of the book.

Facilitate discussion groups 
Help guide discussions in the residence halls or as part of a Brown Bag lunch.

Create programs and events related to the text
Get your department involved and incorporate themes of the book into your existing programs.

Attend Common Read/Common World events and encourage students to attend
Invite your students to join you at a scheduled event.

Create additional student and faculty resources
As you develop assignments or guided discussions, please consider sharing these with other faculty.

Suggest a title for future consideration
When you read a particularly notable book, one that is accessible to a wide range of readers, consider nominating it for consideration.
