Summer Tuition Break Approved
Posted on April 14, 2020
The University of South Alabama Board of Trustees has approved a tuition break for the 2020 May and Summer terms. The decision came as the novel coronavirus pushed all courses slated for those terms online.
“We understand that many students may be dealing with difficult financial circumstances,” said Dr. David Johnson, provost and senior vice president for academic affairs. “The tuition adjustment by the board, eliminating online premiums for most undergraduate students, simply makes sense in order to make college more affordable and accessible.”
For undergraduate students who qualify for in-state tuition (Alabama and Service Area Residents), charges for all courses (excluding those already at a lower tuition rate in the RN to BSN program), whether originally scheduled to be on-campus or online, will be levied at the current applicable in-state tuition rate, and the higher web-based rate will not be charged. For out-of-state undergraduate students, charges for courses will be levied at the current applicable web-based rate rather than the higher out-of-state rate.
New undergraduate students can apply now. Current students can register online.
