Dr. Angela Jordan, director of research development in the Office of Research and Economic Development, has been honored by the National Organization of Research Development Professionals with its annual Mentoring Award.

Dr. Angela Jordan, director of research development in the Office of Research and Economic Development, has been given the Mentoring Award by the National Organization of Research Development Professionals.

Jordan received the honor in recognition of her service both as a mentor and for the advancement of mentoring within the organization.

“I am grateful that my colleagues have chosen to honor me, and I aspire to live up to the award,” she said. “My mentoring experiences have many applications in my professional life, and I am a big advocate for mentoring that uses best practices.”

Jordan joined South in 2013 as a grant writer for the School of Computing before moving into the Office of Research and Economic Development.
