The Application Process
Applying to the CAE is a straightforward, two-stage process. All candidates must complete an online application form to provide basic background information and submit the required documents.
Stage 1: Online Application
The application form requires all candidates to upload a current resume. Depending on the position you are applying for, you will also need to provide the following:
- Writing Samples: If applying for a Writing Consultant role, you must upload two samples (at least one must be a recent academic or technical piece).
- Faculty References: If applying for a Subject Tutor or Writing Consultant role, you must provide the name and email address of a current USA faculty member. Once submitted, the faculty member will receive an automated email with a link to a short survey regarding your academic performance.
Note: A formal letter of recommendation is not required.
Stage 2: Interview and Assessment
Our team will review all completed applications and reference surveys. Applicants selected to move forward in the hiring process will be contacted via email to schedule an in-person interview.
Writing Consultants: Candidates selected for this stage will also be provided with a sample piece of writing to review and provide feedback on as part of their evaluation.
