Distinguished Alumni & Service Awards
The Distinguished Alumni and Service Awards dinner celebrates the accomplishments and achievements of the University’s remarkable alumni. South has many accomplished alumni who give back to their communities in extraordinary ways, and this event is an opportunity publicly recognize several of these inspiring individuals each year. USA alumni are continuously making a difference across the globe and setting an example for future generations of Jaguars. The 15th annual Distinguished Alumni and Service Awards gala was held at USA’s Mitchell Center on Thursday, March 14, 2019.
2019 Distinguished Alumni Award Recipients
The Distinguished Alumni Award recognizes outstanding achievement and/or leadership demonstrated by the recipients in their chosen fields of interest or to the University of South Alabama, over an extended period of time.

2019 Distinguished Service Award Recipient
The Distinguished Service Award recognizes exceptional or continuing service to the University of South Alabama, community, state, nation or international country. This award is designed to acknowledge those alumni who have made exemplary contributions including public service, philanthropy, volunteerism, time or talents benefiting the community, state, nation and/or an international country. Nominees must be University of South Alabama alumni.

2019 V. Gordon Moulton Distinguished Service Award Recipient
The V. Gordon Moulton Distinguished Service Award recognizes exceptional or continuing service to the University of South Alabama and/or the Alumni Association. This award is designed to publicly acknowledge an individual or organization who has volunteered significant amounts of time, talent and resources to the University or the Association over an extended period of time. This award is named in honor of the second president of the University of South Alabama, V. Gordon Moulton, in recognition of his more than 45 years of service to the University. Nominees do not have to be University of South Alabama alumni.
