12 week course image

Make a Difference in the Health of Your Community

Are you passionate about your community? Does your community experience multiple barriers to healthcare.  As a community health worker you can be part of the solution.  The American Public Health Association (APHA) defines Community Health Workers(CHWs) as:

“a frontline public health worker who is a trusted member of and/or has an unusually close understanding
of the community served. This trusting relationship enables the worker to serve as a liaison / link / intermediary between health / social services and the community to facilitate access to services and improve the quality and cultural competence of service delivery.”

How Community Health Workers are unique:

Compassionate Care: CHWs approach their work with empathy, providing compassionate support to community members

Commitment to Service: CHWs dedication to improving community health drives their persistent and passionate efforts

Holistic (Total) Approach: CHWs address not just medical needs but also social determinants of health, providing comprehensive support.

This program will help you develop the skills to be a front-line agent of change in your community.

The 12-week program is available for $2500.
