Resident Assistant Recruitment
The 2027-2028 Resident Assistant Recruitment Process begins November 16, 2026, with RA Interest Sessions being held for currently enrolled students to learn more about what it means to be an RA. Resident Assistants are an integral part of USA Housing, and we are looking forward to meeting all interested candidates!

All candidates are REQUIRED to attend ONE (1) RA Interest Session. You will only receive an application if you attend.

- Fall Interest Sessions: November 16 - December 1, 2026
- Monday, 11/16/26: 6:30pm @ Student Center Terrace
- Thursday, 11/19/26: 1:00pm @ Student Center Terrace
- Monday, 11/23/26: 1:00pm @ Student Center Terrace
- Tuesday, 12/1/26: 6:00pm @ Student Center Ballroom (at the end of the RA Mixer)
- Spring Interest Sessions: January 12 - 18, 2026
- Tuesday, 1/12/27: 3:30pm @ Fresh Food Co. Meeting Room
- Wednesday, 1/13/27: 6:30pm @ Student Center Terrace
- Thursday, 1/14/26: 6:30pm on Zoom
- This is by reservation only for those who are unable to attend the in-person Interest Sessions. In-person sessions are preferred over online Zoom sessions. Reservations can be made by emailing Savannah Crenshaw at crenshaw@southalabama.edu or A'Kia Lowery at alowery@southalabama.edu.

- Prospective & Current RA Mixer (optional): Tuesday, December 1, 2026, at 6:00 PM @ Student Center Ballroom
- Please note that the RA Mixer will include an Interest Session.
- Deadline for Applications & References uploaded on JotForm (returners & new candidates): January 17, 2027, @ 11:59pm
- Selected Candidate Interview invitations sent out: January 22, 2027
- Interviews: January 25-29, 2027, @ Stokes Classroom
- Selection Emails sent out: February 5, 2027
