Vicky Cook and Suzanne Hudson

“Fairhope Sketches”

July 31, 2007 – September 27, 2007 (Third Floor Gallery)

Vicky Nix Cook is Baldwin County School System's art, music, drama and library supervisor and Suzanne Hudson is Fairhope’s Middle School counselor and writing teacher. This two-month long collaborative show by the two educators featured Fairhope. The two educators collaborated on “Fairhope Watercolor Sketches”, a little book of art and exposition designed to promote the city of Fairhope and raise money for the Fairhope Educational Enrichment Foundation (FEEF) at the time. The book is also a tribute to the artist's father, former longtime Fairhope Mayor James P. Nix, who is credited with the beautification of that Eastern Shore Community.
