National Board Support Schedule

The inservice center supports NBCT candidates through their NBCT professional learning journey. This academic year all educators seeking national board certification in Region 10 are welcome to attend the monthly support sessions.  The same session will be offered each month at multiple locations.  Please feel free to attend any of the sessions each month as the information shared will be the same.  However, we will need you to pre-register using the Powerschool# listed on each section.  This will help us provide the needed materials and support providers at each session. You can click on the button next to PowerSchool Registration to register for the session. All sessions will be listed in PowerSchool for 2 hours of professional learning credit.

Description: Mentors who support National Board Certification candidates are an important element of a successful journey. Using the training modules from NBCTS, participants will address responsibilities of mentors (Professional Learning Facilitators) and candidates, ethical expectations, providing feedback for candidates, and guiding principles to promote growth that will benefit candidates and mentors.

Description: Have you heard the news? There is a new process for National Board Certification renewal called Maintenance of Certification (MOC). Attend this session to learn about the steps to take for continuing your prestigious distinction of being a National Board Certified Teacher. MOC must be started in your fourth or fifth year of certification. Even if you attain initial certification this year, attend this session to learn about the ongoing collection of evidence for your Professional Growth Experience.

2024 NBCT Writing Retreat

In this session, educators will reflect on their praxis within the three components of the national board certification: differentiation of instruction, teaching practice and the learning environment, and effective and reflective practitioner. Educators will collaborate with colleagues to reflect on student artifacts and recordings of their teaching. They will use this reflection to design next steps for supporting the needs of their students.
