Gabriel Gold-Vukson (Class of 2015)
Gabriel graduated from the University of South Alabama in 2015 with a double major in history and anthropology and received a certification in GIS. After graduation, he spent five years working as a private investigator. Many aspects of that line of work were directly related to his educational experience, such as observing and analyzing individuals and their habits, adapting and blending into new socio/cultural/economic environments, creating unbiased chronological observation reports, and even mapping movement patterns.
In 2019, Gabriel received an MA in public administration from the University of West Florida. He was then hired as the museum assistant at the city-owned Fairhope Museum of History and was later promoted to museum director. In 2023, he co-wrote a book on local (Fairhope) historic buildings and currently serves on the Baldwin County Historic Development Commission.
Though his undergraduate focus was on archaeology, the Anthropology program at USA prepared him for many aspects of museum management.
